Posting Photos not using Photo Bucket

Photo Bucket has become difficult for many posters on many Forums today.

To help other members what are you using and why?

You can do a test photo when you post your reply if necessary.

Testing using Upload a File in the "Write your reply page"

Click Upload file > Choose file > I selected a photo from My Pictures in Library

It then posts a Thumbnail or Full Image

Using Windows 10 here and I just open the photo/image and use the 'Snippet' tool that comes with Win10 select the image with tool then select edit then copy then just press 'Ctrl+V' to post it in the thread/post. Simple easy works a treat, then image is on the forums server and never lost.

I only upload my files. Works perfectly every time. Just select the picture/file you want. And since I use a camera to take my pictures when I upload them to my computer I just put them in a "fish" file so I can find them easily. First, hit upload file and select your file/picture. Select it and then hit open. Wait until it uploads it, then down below the text box I'm typing in you will see a little picture with two options, Thumbnail, and Full Image. Select one of those. Generally I use Full Image:

It looks like using "Upload File" is going to be the safest way to go unless you have a paying account with Photo Bucket.
It is possible other FREE posting sites could follow Photo Bucket.

Thanks keith, Upload file is definatly the easiest, the main problem when using a smart phone, is that there is no indication that a file is in the process of uploading, leading one to think that the process has failed, patience is needed

We do not have any thing like that the good old land line works perfectly for us.
Some one who uses that method might be able to help you.

Over the years I have seen in Forums "I will wait until I get home to post photos on mobile now"

Keith:cat::cat:

It does work keith, as long as you give the pic time to upload and wait till you get the option for thumbnail or full page, then you know it has worked

actually not difficult to use photo bucket when posting photos. the problem now is
photo bucket is charging [P500.00 per user in our country] for third party hosting.
i don't pay the reason why many of my photos using photo bucket can no longer be seen
in this forum.

when ASW introduce its own user friendly photo upload, i no longer use photo bucket.

ASW's "upload a File" is very easy to use I would now recommend it to any ASW member.

I photo shopped it a little I think the problem is water not clean and dirty glass.

Did you manage to post the photo easily?

Thanks for the info Keith, it was used as a holding tank for plants at the time, tying java fern and moss to stone/lava rock and local sourced oak then growing it on also started to put stem cuttings in which I was trimming weekly and giving away. The misty look is the CO2 and I used EI fertiliser. Water quality was checked weekly with 50per cent w/changend the fish were fine. Noticed my I pad takes better quality photos than this phone did, although could it be quality of picture reduced downloaded to a notebook? Looking for a good phone next .Qiute easy to post

Taking photos of Aquarium tank is certainly not easy it takes a lot of practice. It has a lot to with preparing the tank and getting the water crystal clear.

Great to hear no troubles posting photos.
