Mr Wood

Thank you for posting that excellent Video. It's amazing what you have done using that wood.

Great use of wood excellent scape ,only thing not sure about that sand ,looks a bit like a" block" rather than a sand area but thats just MO ,:) nice aquascape(y)

Cool, I really like the scaping with those branches. Looks like an underwater mangrove forest and it kind of reminds me of thoose artificial trees "Gardens by the bay" in Singapore

Duzzy In Australia aqua_one should supply Azalea Root ,you can get small pieces in UK for £5 to £8 , so I should think if you can select ones suitable for what your after a mangrove look . You would want recognised aqua_one retailers to be sure of genuine azalea though

Thanks mate, it’s funny you should say that my mother has been re landscaping her garden and she removed some very old azealea roots is it just the root you use?

Also does anyone know of a list of aquarium safe plants or know if any of these are safe
like acacia, eucalyptus, mallee root, myrtle, iron bark Hakea, bottle brush etc

It's not so much as timber it's how and where it was grown poisons in ground and or sprays used.

That is the reason its always safer to buy it from your local LFS or a safe aquarium supplier.

Darren ,Keith's absolutely right. No matter how how attractive wood may look you have to know what your dealing with, I often source Oak in the uk but experience has given me the knowledge to know whether it's safe and OC I get permission(country park). No idea whether the Azalea you describe is the same as Aqua-Ones aquarium safe wood which is clearly labelled and sold in Aqua-One retailers shops ,possibly online Try a local aquarium shop see if they have it or order it in.
