400L (120g). Non CO2 non-excel. Root tabs a plenty. Dose PMDD Ferts. Recently converted this from a specimen fish tank to a planted. Really want the Amazon Sword behind the DW to grow to complete the picture.

All comments and suggestions welcome.

Wonderful calm, Glenn!
:daydream:

Yeah this one sits in the dining room of our share house. It's really nice having dinner and watching peacefully.

Further info: I put this together at ultra low cost. I patiently waited for 2nd hand DW, fish, lighting, plants.. I'm really proud of this one!

Better photos soon..

I'm not happy with the RHS, the part on the right of the hygro. Any suggestions? Something a little different maybe?

There is maybe around 1square foot of space there on the substrate, and 2 foot above btw (this tank is 2ft high - quite a challenge plant wise not to block out too much light for the hygro)

I took the liberty of "Cropping" your tank to show you that if you put some more Substrate in the RH corner and continue the same plant it should look OK.

That piece of driftwood is pointing to ???? in that corner.

OR
At the end of my 100lt I have some narrow leaf java fern tied to a low piece of DW that is pushed into the substrate to make it look like it is growing on top of the substrate.

Glen what part of Melb are you? I am 75k south on the Peninsula

Thanks as always for your support Keith. You're right.. what is that piece pointing to?? The great beyond? That was my thought, but you're right.. I think it needs to point to a plant in front (adjacent to hygro) and have something taller behind (not val though... I'm kinda over it taking over low tech tanks...). There has to be a better crypt specimin adjacent to hydro with something tall, bushy and dark at rear. What do you think?

I'm in Northcote mate. Just started cultivating my own plants, so I will pm you when they're ready and send you a few specimens.
