I think the judge defined it quite well with the word "bold". This scape is fantastic, nice tight solid shapes of wood and plants. Absolutely amazing.

I love the Anubias climbing up the tree, and acting as a transition between foreground and background, then climbing back down with the moss on the right and back up to the right hand side of the scape!

I'd love to see this scape in person

thank you for your kind word :)

hi nick thank you for your "bold analysis":D
i think it would look better if i clear the tree cave like gate with some moss to have a continuity of cosmetic sand under that tree.

the aquascape has been removed to give my contest tank a good bath after 5 - scapes.

my new aquascape for this tank is almost done.....just waiting for the foreground to mature.....and
i will be ready for IAPLC 2014 .

for my new scape, i hope, a better ranking from ADA(y)

i have lots of photos for this particular aquascape entry. since few days ago CARDINAL & NEON became one of the
subject in the thread, allow me to share this photo that is not published yet here in my thread.
a combination of Cardinal and Neon Tetras. i am not quite sure if the light i am holding attracted the fish
since they are known to be schooling most the time.

note: this is an old thread.

have mentioned it was an old thread.
that's the only big tank i have for IAPLC entry so i need to reset it after the final photo say January or February of each
year to prepare the tank for another aquascape for my 2nd entry lol

i don't think any aquascaper who usually join aquascaping contest will keep his
previous work say for a year not unless he has multiple tank. Even Fukuda from japan who breaks a
a winning record for being a two a timer IAPLC winner kept his previous tank scape for a long time.
    just my personal opinion.
