I'm setting up a 400 gallon freshwater tank (96"x30"x36"). I'm looking for large driftwood pieces. I want this tank gloomy, dark with heavy looking driftwood. One of the reasons for the huge tank is to allow for water displacement due to large pieces within, so that's not a problem. Also this will be a Discus tank. Most of the large wood I'm finding is ridiculously priced. Also the darker wood the better, which brings up another question. Does the dry wood get a lot darker once it's wet? I've seen some dry pieces with very nice shapes but almost grey in color.

Greenleaf Aquariums has some large pieces. You could also PM plantbrain on this forum or catch him on his forum under is other name Tom Barr on The Barr Report. He could find exactly what you are looking for.
