i'm greatly inspired by your art. i barely have room for my betta and my wife's betta in two tiny "tanks", but i doubled mine after finding you guys so i could add some plants. if i told you how many actual gallons you guys would choke.

anyone in manhattan recommend a good LFS/aquatic plant store? i'm awaiting a few plants from aquabotanic...but always love looking!

i've only been to petco and petland. and was sad to find that i, n00b, had more understanding than the workers there. i actually had someone try to tell me quite earnestly that nitrate was the same thing as ammonia, "just the scientific name."!

    thanks!

    Welcome to ASW!

The best aquatic plants come from search the various plant forums' "For Sale Sections".

That Petco worker was totally wrong! Nitrate is the same thing as Potassium, just the scientific nomenclature....just kidding! ;)

    Hello and welcome to ASW.

Ammonia/nitrate. both sources of Nitrogen. I think someone in that shop is scanning very quickly instead of reading. lol
