Hi! there are these weird buglike things in my tank that scurry around very fast. DESCRIPTION: oval/round, blue/gray, white spots, 1 slit on the bottom going from anterior to posterior end, little white legs/tenacles that come from the anterior end of the slit. what is it? in 1 week there were like already 1000!!!! they also grow to 3mm!
Sounds like a Hydra, Fish love to eat these guys. They don't harm plants, just a hitchhiking organism. Check this thread out. -John N.
Limpet maybe? Did you check out the thread that John N gave you the link for? Kind of looks like the Limpet, although that thread says nothing about it having spots, so I dunno.
Hi guys! I have the same exact creatures in my planted tank that KAKKOI have and they multiply rapidly. Although they do not affect my shrimps and endlers, they are a bit an eyesore. What i notice that they love squash veggies. If I can recall it right , it might have come from the frozen foods I have purchased from the lfs. I just cant figure out if its the brineshrimps (san francisco bay brand)or the mixed 50/50 plus by h20 life(brineshirmps/bloodworms/mysis shirmp). I suspect its the mysis but am not sure. My big female endlers are not eating them.:thumpdown:And I would love the remove them very much.[-o<
