use up the jbl stuff etc then divide the tropica dose for your tank by 7 and dose it daily, you can dose it weekly but your results won't be as good since you can potentially be bottoming out and you're having bigger peaks and troughs.

50ltrs of water so 5ml divide by 7 =1.4 so 1.4ml daily is that right ?

Call it 2ml a day and worry not, better a bit much than too little.

Hmm. I wouldn't worry about it. You could add the 5ml to the weekly total and then divide that but I don't think it'll give you too much difference on 2ml.

Yeah, basically you're using an approximated dosing, by adding it daily you stop the dips and troughs associated with weekly dosing, adding the same amount every time daily should mean that there isn't that much being taken out by the WC because it will have been taken up by the plants so it really shouldn't matter, the water change should be seen as the reset button I always find as the best analogy to help people appreciate its value.

I have a small Clown Loach in my 75cm tank OK he might or might not snack on a few Shrimp fry but mine are breeding faster than he can snack on them.

Until I introduced the Clown Loach to the tank I was squashing snails every day then all of a sudden no more snails.

I will wait at least until the end of June (3 weeks time) and if I have not seen a snail I will try to catch and transfer him to the 5ft tank with all the other Clown Loaches.

As far as size a small one will not be a problem, they eat less and only grow about 1cm per year

    Keith

What is it? I mean possibly it is, but I dunno, I've never used them (with the exception of an mp10) I always just uprate the filter.

Not a clue, people who use wave makes tend to use koralia nanos in 60cm tanks but there's more than one model as I understand it, so I dunno, I wouldn't be the one to know.
