Hi, I recently started my Iwagumi tank for around 3 weeks now and the grow has been great. For the last couple days, I start to experience some algae grow on my glosso. This is my first planted tank so i'm not sure what I got into. Can any help me identify the type of algae and how to get rid of it? Thanks in advance.

Thank for the respond but i looked up cyanobacteria and my symptom does not look like cynobacteria. My algae only infected leaf edges and it seen to only effect old leafs.

it is look like the initial stage of BBA (black beard algae). Check your CO2 level

I agree with Shadow, looks like the the start of BBA, if raising CO2 levels does not get rid of it, try using "Flourish Excel" or "Easycarbo". The plants you have are quite tough so a double dose of either of these products would be fine.

Sinsoi, I think staghorn algae in start stadium. Probably, you have this algae on the old leaf only or...maybe not
