Tribute to Trout

    Hello Chiefs,

    I got to show you something which is this small cold water tank.Long long time ago I used to enjoy watching big river fishes underwater.That make me sad when I know I will never repeat this amazing view in such a tiny space like indoor aquarium not longer then 45 cm.
    Few days ago my friend give me his empty tank and as this cold weather condition here in UK I gave myself a chance to try it ... before its get warm:-s
    and do this "extreme" nano tank which will house "miniature of rainbow trout".:muscle:

    I meneged to keep water temperature around 17 C - which is great:)

    Looks good! And nice tech there.. Though i would replace thet Eheim? with a Hang on Aquclear for instance..

    thanks lads, very kind of you

    this Eheim will disapear soon when moss and other plants got attached to substrate I didn't want to make strong flow in this first days,I will have small River Tank Manifold here instead
    BDW this blue thing is Thermos Freeze Boards its not always there but it helps to keep water cool below 20C

    hi all,

    think would be nice to update with something then want to show few plants from my project

    this is Callitriche palustris (pretty simular to Hemianthus micranthemoides) grows like crazy in 7 days its been cut short twice

    this one is Fontinalis hypnoides everybody know it as Willow moss - its large and cold water kind of this moss

    next one is Berula erecta (Cutleaf Water Parsnips), nice fresh parsnip smell, very quick addaptation to new tank

    last one, its Veronica beccabunga(European speedwell) - very quick its got to surface,din't trim it yet ,will see how its grow like this

    thats it, there are some native to North America and Europe plants

    I got rid of Eheim and put river manifold in there to see how its work,as well as I am waiting for clear tube to replace the green one as its looks like 'eheim' again :frusty:

    fish are in, school of 7, realy enjoy new around
