How long can tissue culture plants be kept in their containers? I want to buy a few each from 3 different online vendors, but coordinating arrival dates seems to be impossible, and I'd like to have all of them on hand on my planting day.

It really depends on species type. If all plants arrive within a week of each other, and a good light source on a timer is used, you should not have any problems. I know 1 vendor, that has kept them for weeks at a time without any real issues.

    Best regards,

Thank you, Stuart. Should I take heat into consideration? This time of year my house is between 65-68 degrees F.

The temperature would be OK for a short period (a week or two). I would not intentionally keep plants at this temperature long term.

    JMHO.
