They are not special variety. Just came out that way from my mixed breeding. On the picture they are still small and not sure if the tri colour appearance will remain when they grow up. Some of my best parents. German K14. Underneath is a Hinomaru female from my best selection so far. The last two pictures from my best male again my celection.
Very nice shrimp. You are making me want to get some CRS! That was a fun little video. thanks for sharing.
I had some problem with the tanks for a while. Almost all shrimp lost white colour. Now things got back to normal. I have the Hinomaru female on the above picture with much thicker colour now. I will post some new pics soon with more of my selected females that are showing good quality colour.
my god those are beautiful. I had CRS for a while once, but they died off on me. they werent high grade through so its not AS upsetting as it would be if it was one of your selection XD
Absolutely no clue. I put all of the shrimps in a well established tank with all new materials, Shirakura, extarnal filters all cycled for over 6 weeks with starter bacteria culture and every gear that money can buy. The nitrates were having tendancy to go over 3-4ppm a bit fast like for a week or so, but nothing else out of the ordinary. My guess is that too much water changes were the problem. CRS do like clean water, but do not like water changes much. So my effords went after keping the water clean with as little as possible water changes. It usually comes down to very strict feeding routine. After few weeks eventually the ones that were colourful did regain the colour back, but I still can not point my finger at any specific reason. Do you have discoloration problems in you CRS?
