    Well Guys,

Here is my new project at it's completion of one month. I named it 'The Cuuube' o:)

    Specs:

    Tank Size: 1*1*1 ft. cube
    Filter: Resun Canister Filter
    Light: 1*11W + 1*9W PLL
CO2 injection: Yes, pressurised (around 1.5 BPS) + flourish excel (2-3 ml/week once)
    Substrate: Contro-soil (4mm + 2mm)
    Fert: EI
Flora: HC Cuba, Riccia, Dwarf Sagittaria, Blyxa Japonica, Moss (xmas and Java), Rotala wallichii, Mayaca fluviatilis, Red Watermilfoil, Ludwigia repens
Fauna: CPD, RCS, Amano, Assasin snail (to check the pond snail infestation - doing a pretty good job though)

The big stone infront was initially given to anchor the DW, but the color contrast it's giving now is making me hesitant from removing it.. :)

Please excuse me of the pic quality, it's taken with my mobile.

Hope you guys like it.. :)

    Pic1: Hardscape a try
    Pic2: Day 1 after setup
    Pic 3: Week 3
    Pic4: Week 4, as taken on May 6th, 2012

I have troubles getting comments when I share, too. First time I saw this thread. I would like to see more of the foreground covered and the stone seems distracting to me. Perhaps its direction does not fit. What if you turned it so it looked like it was moving out towards the front left corner since that is the direction much of the scape seems to move towards from the center. The stone seems to go against this flow.

The growth looks nice and healthy, great work there. HC is my nemesis and I can never get it to grow in superbly.

    i totally agree with ShadowMac,

the stone is distracting. try what ShadowMac has mentioned.
I would remove the black background and go for a white one.

thanks a lot guys, the stone I know is a big distraction, it's there till the time the DW sinks (perhaps a few weeks more). HC has been growing pretty well for me, it was added around the third week so i'm pretty happy with the growth.. :) again thanks a lot guys will keep this thread alive.

@Flo: A normal white A1 sheet will do? or anything specific, I wanted to put the white translucent plastic sheet but it's not available at where I stay.. :(

    hey my friend,

you can look for "plexiglassfrosted" at ebay. with a small led backlight it ll look amainzing and ll increase the depth.
I ve found some cheap sheets in the UK... click But maybe you have some sellers around India.

    ;)

    Okay got a small update:

The main rock infront that was keeping the DW down has been taken out.

Pix 1 - Last pix before the stone come out, played round a bit with picasa edit..:p
Pix 2 - A close up, empty space now covered with pygmy amazon
    Pix 3 - At a distance.. :)

To all - Sorry could not arrange a white/plexi-glass background, search still on..perhaps in the next update I might add one..:)

I think this thread belongs to Aspiring Aquascapers. Btw I like it, you should give the scape some time to develop. ;)
