LaMotte makes pretty much the best kits you can get as a hobbyist - but they are pretty spendy. Salifert makes nice kits that are reasonably accurate for some parameters, but not for others, and some of their tests are meant for marine only but not well labeled. I can confirm at least that their Nitrate kit works very well for our purposes. API is probably right down there at the bottom with test strips, etc.

What parameters were you looking to test for?

Tetra easy strips is the one I have that was told was not accurate for nitrite or nitrate plus my ph is pretty high alone with hardness.

I believe Sera are quality products you can buy them either separately or kit sets.
