You're soo right Keith ! , I like them !
Only too pleased to help you.
Feeling the "hot" summer
Some of my plants are not doing so great in this heat , and I saw some algae on wood and stones.
How are your plants doing on this heat ?!
P.S. Thanks again Keith for the Green Neon Tetra suggestion , I like them alot.
They are perfect for your awesome scape
Glad you like it Tim !
I found the best method was turn the lights off during the heat of the day, do every thing you can to keep the room cool and if possible more water movement including having a fan facing the water surface.
I have heard floating a drink bottle filled with frozen water. Every little thing you can do will help.
I have an ADA Aquasky led lamp so she doesn't give any heat at all to my tank, thanks God fot that.I use from time to time a fan but is not such a good method when you don't see the tank for days because of the massive water
I now about the "ice bottle" method too , but again not so practical if you don't see the tank.
I think the only suitable method is to cool your room with an AC , so you get comfort for both , you and you're tank .
When we had a hot summer few days I tried to keep the rooms as cool as I could no AC just fans to circulate the air.
How are you managing your tank with the hot weather?
Lucky the weather is much colder this days , so no need for special attention. But when the weather doesn't help I do frequent water changes to cool it down trying to maintain it at 25 degrees Celsius , noting else. I'm pretty lazy !
In rest of the year I have 21-22 degrees in the tank , wich in my opinion is the optimal temperature for an nature aquascape tank.
Your tank looks phenomenal. Kudos to Keith for the green neon suggestion!
I have had Neons and Cardinals I don't think I have ever seen Green Tetras I know the Neon importer never imported them.
With this layout I managed to obtain rank 228 at IAPLC 2017 and I am verry happy with this result!
My wish was that to be in first 200 but this is close enough.
Congrats to all participants !
Well done it is a great scape
Yes well deserved Bogden. Sometimes I think the actual position is subjective and everyone's top ones can different than judges,I would personally rank yours much higher than awarded
2018 aim for the top 150. Congratulations on your high ranking.
Thanks guys for the support and nice words !
You deserve those words.
Personally I think if you had waited another year I am sure you would have a higher rating.
Thanks Keith ,
I also agree with you, this setup is looking better and better as time passing and I will try to keep it as long as possible.
Those few bare areas in the front did not help.
