I joined a while ago to have a quick read but never really posted so thought I would today. I got into the planted tanks a few years ago, after joining UKAPS and going to The Green Machine. Over the past few years, my interest has grown and have been learning to care for plants and fish/shrimp at the same time. Sometimes with mixed results, mainly because of algae issues which in theory shouldn't of been there!! I used to have a 180 litre tank, mainly of crypts (pictured below). With a few rescapes but recently had to break it down as I'm buying a house with the girlfriend and need all available money. The best view of my 180 litre Currently, I have my 30cm nano which I'm learning how to scape. My ideas are there but it's just learning how to grow and trim the plants in there - work in progress. A few photos... I found a while ago that I was chasing plants and trying to fix problems. Now I'm sorting the problems before they start and have found that the nano fits in with my life better than having a large tank. Maybe in the future I'll have a large aquarium again, but at the minute, I enjoy my fishkeeping. So anyway, I'll have a read of the forum and notice there's already a few friendly faces around.
