not exactly crazy, shipping can be up to 50 bucks, and the fish themselves are usually about 10 bucks a pop, and a mated pair for 30, so 50+30+10+10 (insurance) = 100

okay, so u have what fish now?

in a 30 you could possibly keep 1 pair of Rams and 1 pair of apistos with your other fish, but keep in mind, occasionally rams can get very aggresive, depends on the fish.

my plants are not doing too well. im not sure if its the light but i have a dual cf light fixture. each bulb is 96w, in which i only use one. I dont know if its the water condition or the lighting but its not doing well. im going to have to a get a water testing kit.

i add excel every day or two and still no growth. the leaves are getting brown and looks like its dying. what can I do to save them? the other bulb is an attinic light bulb so that one never goes on. Im going to go buy another light bulb soon, when i get the cash.

can anyone else suggest anything. the fishes are doing superb. but the plants not so much

time to dose some macros and micros if you're not dosing yet.. with high lighting, you might want to also up the CO2 a bit..

Plants are doing alot better now. I actually rescaped it again for the 15th time lol. i took out all the almond leaves and now im just letting the plants grow. there are actually runners on some of them.

    tank is looking alot better.

got rid of 7 cories and added 5 ottos! they cleaned up all the brown algae in 2 days! pretty impressive.

I like this biotope a lot. It looks really good, simple and clean. Wood is beautiful and works well with the cardinals. I'll be following this journal a bit.
