Makes sense the high lighting lean ferts and lots of the right plants.
My carpet was struggling so put on extra lights must of easily doubled the intensity, pearled like crazy, carpet grew really well, but the slower growing plants suffered from the light with algea then holes. Think the CO2 was flucuating too. Took the extra lights off and the slow growers recovered with time and trims. Carpet struggling again but CO2 much better now and bigger pH drop also, well over 1pH.
Have recently also managed to get a higher light intensity over the carpet only so hoping it picks up soon.
