I have a few concerns for you to think about.

There are a few small stones two at the front and one LH end (very close to the glass) depending on your planting they could easily be lost in your planting.

Can your major rock be lifted up as it could be a little bit higher?

The rock back RH corner can you lower it a little as it is taking some of the attention away from the center major rock?

My biggest concern is outside the tank can you put on a vinyl backing (school book cover) then you will not see what is behind the tank which will be a major distraction.

On a very positive note all those rocks are full of character and looks like you have used them to their best advantage.

Hey Keith I have managed to raise the main stone a little higher but thats as far as im going to get it. Ive also lowered the other rock slightly so it isnt as distracting. I was planning on getting a Black Background eventually (y)

Ive got Monte Carlo in the foreground and Dwarf Hairgrass in the background and around the rocks here and there. Here it is planted.

At the moment your pathway looks too square and not enough shape.

Can you relocate those two groups of rocks to give the pathway more shape?

I have moved those rocks as you suggested. It has been over a week now and all plants are looking really healthy, I will update with photos in a couple of weeks :)

Do you have any small rocks left over or can you get some small rocks that can either be smashed up or used as they are to scatter along the edges of your pathway.

Two different coloured stones were used here one similar to the pathway and the other similar to the main rocks.

As your rocks and pathway are very similar in colour you main rock pieces will match perfectly.

You are one very brave man smashing up a big rock but I guarantee it will make your Aquascape look far better by giving it another dimension.

Here is an update photo. As you can see I have had some good growth on the Monte Carlo but not so much on the DHG and ive also added some rocks to and around the pathway which has made a massive difference ;)

Sorry about photo I will get much better ones when i flood it in the next few weeks.

Background colour is a very personal thing.
Your Aquascape Rocks dark gray/black and green plants.

You should use a colour that highlights the rocks and plants.

I have used black and soft marine blue

Try both use a coloured paper as a test.

I have used the Vinyl book cover its cheap and easy to use plus its easy to apply and remove.

You might have to consider putting the backing on the ens as well, the last thing you want to see is aquarium hardware.

Yeah I think black would be the way to go as I really want to highlight the color of the rocks, plants and also the fish. Im really wanting to flood the tank as Im going to be doing a fishless cycle which can takes a few weeks but Im going to hold on another week or 2 if I can :D

Also trying to figure out if im going to use any other plants but not sure if It would ruin the scape as any plants I do add would have to be small.
