Hello, I've recently noticed a circular worm like protrusion on the ventral side of my EBR below the gills and left pectoral fin. Anyone know what I am looking at? Looks like some type of worm or parasite, but what? Any suggestions on how to deal with it?

    Thank you!

    Shadow,

    Sorry about your fish.

I found a PDF that may be of use to you:
    http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/pdffiles/fa/fa09100.pdf

Look at page 9 in particular.
Larval Contracaecum looks really similar to this, but I am NO kind of fish wellness expert.

    Goodluck!

    hi,

please seperate the RAM as fast as you can in an other tank. this is highly infecting the other fish. i can t tell you a name of it, but some of my neons show it from time to time cause they are really susceptible for this. try out omnipur S, keep care to use an airstone while giving omnipure S and all lights should be turned of in this tank you are using it. i cant say that there s much hope. sorry :(
