Plant id pls.

    Hey all, have this plant growing on top of my java moss in two tanks. Initially it hought it was part of Java moss. But now have been told its some sort of weed. :)

    Could you id it for me. thank you in advance.

    Utricularia gibba, if not gibba then some other sp. but definitely a Utricularia liverwort.

    Hey thanks a ton. Just looked it up it is Utricularia gibba L. humped bladderwort. DOnt know how it made it in. Will see now what i can do with it. :)

    Only takes the tiniest of bit to get in there for anything like that to spread. I don't see much point in keeping it myself, it's unruly and not really the prettiest of plants no matter what you do with it with it being a floater by habit.

    IMO its a weed but who knows, maybe you can create beautiful scape out of it. I knew friend who create beautiful scape using string moss.
