Hi Ohly, How this little one coming along ?
You're making me feel bad... I should have told about it, but I haven't started this tank yet
Let me explain the best I can
Last time I've updated this thread I was expecting to start it real soon.. But outside of my aquarist hobby, there was some kind of an opportunity for me to move along with my girlfriend ( member: CLT) in an apartment !
At this time my answer was only a maybe, because I was thinking the pros and cons etc...
So I've let the tank sleeping with an unsure hardscape and an unfinished hardware setup
~waiting for a new spark of time to ignite the beauty of planted tank~ okay..... I'm being funny ^^ haha!
So well, since the last two months I've decided to finally move to the apartment with my girlfriend and two other people.
So its a matter of week till you finally see water getting into the tank..
PS: I was also really busy
I'm happy to be back here
Hi Ohly, Nice to spread your wings mate Best wishes for you both in your new home When the Wedding no rush Invite welcome Maybe you can get your friends in to Aquascaping too Looking forward to your updates
So we poured water into the tank now moved into our apartment
Not so proud of the reflection of the glass but still, you can see the tank ...
Unfortunately I may have thrown the green inflow to the garbage some month ago... So for now its an extra length of tubing as inflow..
Hi Ohly, Not so proud of the reflection Really you could do better And never throw thing away I have a draw full of bits and bobs comes in handy sometimes
What are your plans for this Scape
Same as it was
I just ordered one of these lights : http://www.buildmyled.com/10000k-planted/
Hi Ohly, Cool
We finally got the light! And one beautifull (and expensive ) inflow!
Oh and cellphone picture by the way
Hi There, Confused Ohly have you move in with Clt ?? The Scape is looking good now you have the lights Looking forward to seeing this one come together
As I explained a couple of weeks ago, we did move in together
Hi Ohly ,Clt. Sorry just went back and read the post Missed that bit lol
Seems a bit silly now When i said-- Get your friend into Aquascaping Best wishes in your new home And happy Aquascaping
I think you could do a Stonehenge look since most of your rocks are kind of rectangular, but I'm a noob so really have no idea what I'm talking about lol
Looks like things are moving along slowly for you any more updates please.
Hi! I posted a picture of the tank earlier but it didn't showed the new inflow well so here's some of the inflow when it was still in the box
(phone pictures again haha )
Oh and Keith for the updates I think we won't do anything in the tank until me and Ohly get some free time to go shopping I think it'll still run like it is right now for a couple weeks....
But we'll keep you updated
Oh and any idea for fishes to start the tank? I'm a little scared of transferring my galaxy's in the thank (when the plants will be in it) to cycle it...
I only do a fishless Cycle now I use Seachem Stability as per direction it never fails (Providing you follow their instructions and do not add any thing else, once you start that it could take 3-4 times longer plus problems on the way.)
Hi Clt, Ohly, That is one cool looking intake Will you use a lily pipe for the out flow ?? Ohly did you ever finish the Diy lily pipe?? I know you busted one after all your hard work Wondered if you done another one.
I would do a fishless cycle Add in the bottle bacteria as Keith said per the instruction Wait 5--6 weeks Then add your fish shrimp
The out flow that we have right now is the one that Ohly broke haha I think we'll buy another one when we'll have time and money... ( it'll probably be before the planting is done (according to me at least haha ))
And I like the idea of cycling the tank without fish it sure will take a bit more time but it doesn't really bother me haha
Thanks for the suggestions
Have a good day
Its time for a quick update of how the tank is going
The first plant entered our tank I think yesterday..
Its a tall variety of anubias . I really don't know much ..
However I can tell it likes my lamp and co2 injection we can see some nice pearling under the top leave
