Newbie from uk!

    Well i added abt 200ml of tank water from my old tank , i squeezed my filter sponge into new from old one and also swished my filter media bag around in my new tank to help also as im struggling to find pure ammonia to add that way

    I have never used pure ammonia to cycle a tank. If you have a mature filter you could swap out half the media with the new media from your new filter.

    Apparently it seems a fairly popular method by dosing the water with it.

    Unfortunately the media in my flval edge is in a net that sits at the top of my filter beford it runs like awaterfall into my tank hence why i only swished it round a little while doing a water change in old tank
