Newbie ask for help.. Algae prob

    Hi..
    i'm new at this forum n this hobby..

    i got a problem with algae.. this is happen when my HOB filter stop working..
    need to id this algae.. and how to eliminate it
    it's all over my tank.. even at my co2 checker, glass .. feel like want to cry :(

    Lights are the engine. What are your lights. Too high I believe or on too long.

    some update.. .. i manually remove the white slimmy thing...by tearing apart my tank..
    the reason of this problem is come from my DIY co2.. when the mixture is get into the tank..lesson learn.. check valve is essential hehe

    is it yeast or hair algae..
    if hair algae you can add some red cherry shrimp to clean it

    put bubble counter in between it should prevent yeast from go into your tank

    tq shadow and wizard..
    the problem solve already...and to avoid this problem in future
    and to save the cost in the long run.. i already bought the 3L co2 tank with manual regulator.. and i love it because no need to wait a whole night
    to see a co2 bubble coming out from the diffuser :proud:

    I have heard about the nastiness of yeast getting into the tank... and I found a guy out there that figured out a way to prevent this. He put a second smaller bottle between the reactor and the check valve... all the reactor junk will settle in there, here is a pic of my setup
