    Hi Flo!

Nice cube. The hardscape fits good to the size of the tank. I'm sure, that one will become a real beauty after some weeks. You're running this 30l tank with just one 11W lamp?!
My only point of criticism is the wood you used, this is odd. I hope it's ok for you, that I've used your last pic to demonstrate what I would alter.

First pic is without the wood. Looks better for my taste.
    30L Dennerle.1.jpg

Second pic shows the way I would place driftwood. The wood should be thinner, more filigreed.

    30L Dennerle.2.jpg

Anyway, that's just my opinion. The tank is nice as it is! (y)

    Hey Andy,

Thanks for your advice :). It s allways helpfull to learn.

The wood should simulate a kind of a fallen tree.
The branshes you drew in your pictures will be added later to the tank if the plants filled in a bit more. That was my plan ;)
I will add some fissidens spots to the rocks as well to get a more textured look in the tank.

    Cheers
    Flo

EDIT: do you think 11 W is not enough?

Looking great I would like to add a little bit more a dead/or partially dead tree as if its an umbrella bring it all together.

To me it lacks height in that back RH area.

I am positive you are well ahead of my thinking any way

    Keith:):)

    Thanks keith,

Hmmm, in my opinion such a tree would destroy the scale.
Lets wait a while until the plants grew tall. Maybe i will give it a go then.

    Cheers
    Flo

That last photo puts every thing in perspective I would not do what Keith said either.

This Keith will wait an see what happens when the plants grow and develop.

The twiggy roots make a massive difference except the end one on the RH side it looks a bit heavy, a lighter one coming from under the plant might look a bit more natural.

This is a Aquascape new comers should be following its the old look and learn.

Thanks for your nice words keith :).

I cant remove the RH root, cause it is one piece with the one over the canyon and it s buried under the soil.
My hope is that it will be covered by the moss later.

    Cheers
    Flo

Some times you wish the photos were in 3D and you can see it how it actually is.
