    Hi flchamp and welcome

Don't think it's about how good your tank is at all, only been here a few months and didn't even have a tank when I joined.

Think it's more about reading stuff looking at others tanks and maybe deciding on new tank scape or some other change. It's a hobby which can be done at so many different levels, which you choose is irrelevant as long as you get joy out of it. Well that's my take on it.

It's far more than setting up a tank it's having to know everything about your tank and its inhabitants, once you start you never stop learning. I am still learning after about 50 years with aquariums and being interested for over 70 years.

I have been in hobby about 30 years. My best tanks were my 90g community. It didn't have live plants. Had mostly congo and emperor and cories. No pics sorry it was 10yrs ago. At the same time I had two reef tanks a 29g and a 10. Back in August I got bug again and set up a 10g planted. Its my first planted tank. I wish I had more room in my home for bigger tank. I just got a 40b im building the stand today.

That should give you a very good background knowledge.

That is more years that many members are years old. I had my first tank about 50 years ago and when I was younger I would go to our large public Aquarium at a rough guess close to 70 years ago, over those years I have seen many changes to fish keeping and I am still learning.
