    hi hi

I am looking to purchase a light for my tank. My tank is 30 gallons, 36"x16.75"x12.25". I will be growing Hemianthus callitrichoides, elocharis vivipara, java moss and flame moss (for now). I have heard the rule of watts per gallon which would mean I need 60 watts to grow plants? I have heard the HC needs a lot of light so would this be a sufficient amount?

I have found this light :

Current USA Orbit Compact Fluorescent Fixture, 2X96 Watt, 36 inch

I like this style and that it's 24 hour, replicating moon light as well.

I am totally new to aquascaping and if you could give me some info about lighting for plants, that would be awesome! thanks guys!

that is a total of 6.4wpg. that will be a lot of lighting.

What are your plans for co2 and fertilizing?
You will need these 2 things to help prevent algae growth.

For co2, I purchased the Turbo co2 bio system. This is a purchase I am not 100% sure about because I do not know how easily controllable it is.
I also have an air stone and the aquaclear 50 filter.

from ada, i ordered green brighty step 1 and 2, and green gain. I chose these items based on their guide on ada for setting up a tank.
