    Hey guys,

A local fb community is organizing a contest and I want to participate. I'm not that happy with the arrangement of plants and I need some advices on that.

My tank is a 30L "cube" 29x29x35, the setup is 3 weeks old.

Here is what I have in mind:
I want to remove that LH side rock:

and move the echinodorus bleheri there, or move it behind the rock in the front:
    echinodorus-placement.JPG
also bacopa monnieri and ludwigia arcuata moved a bit to the back of the tank:
    bl-replacement.JPG
and the crypts from the RH side moved to where the BM and LA are:
    crypt-placement.JPG
I really cand decide if I should give up on eleocharis and replace it with micranthemum sp monte carlo as @greenfinger 2 suggested or find another capeting plant that doesn't require pressurized CO2 to fully develop:

Those are a few things on my mind. I hope you can bare with me and give me some suggestions and advices.

    Thanks in advance!

My best advice is change things around BUT beware the Crypts could die back and the other plants might not take off immediately.

My other suggestion would be leave as is enter it and see what the other entries look like then prepare for the next competition.

Every thing depends on that date.

A new tank is not just a matter of pulling one down and rescaping depending on your aquascape and plants it could take from months to one year to be fully established.

If you decide to pull it down do you have any drawings or photos you would like to do?

By new tank I mean a completely new one :), not to pull this one down, a bit bigger then this one, but I need to make a budget for it first and see when I'll have the money to build it.

I don't want to make it for the contest I want to apply what I've learned from this first tank :).

That sounds great my suggestion now is start a new Journal otherwise there will be a lot of confusion.

This time plan every detail first including the costing before you start.

What size tank/Aquascape are you thinking of doing?

The first three are certainly not a beginners aquascape but can be done if you are prepared to learn a lot extremely fast.

The Island is certainly the easy one.

Getting all that DW and rocks could also be a challenge time locating and costing.

Yep I know, but I will try to DIY some DW, search - treat - soak. That's why my guess is it will be awhile until I will have something to start with, but I'll not hurry this one up :) ( learning from past experience )

Congratulations that makes me so pleased you have learnt a very valuable lesson in Aquascaping.

The next one is KIS Keep It Simple

I can guarantee you will have far less problems if you always follow those two basic rules.
