Nice tanks... You should trim the steam plants in first two tank so they would form bushes...

I agree, give everything a good, short trimming. It'll make the growth more compact.

I love the HC on the wood, as well as those Anubias 'petite' on that peak. VERY nice placement of those anubias, and they look super healthy. Well done with these cubes!

Thanks for the critique & compliments. Every time I take out alot of the plant mass at once I battle algae for months after. How do I avoid this? I have a new set of bulbs coming for the cubes. I think they are in need of replacing, so for now I may need to wait until it adjusts to the added light.

maybe you could try slowing down your dosing a little during the time where everything is trimmed?

Also, you could trim one plant at a time, so not everything is trying to grow back at once. Trim on part of the tank back real hard, wait for it to grow back in, then trim another part back real hard. This will help in avoiding your algae outbreak.

I accidentally broke Thai's tank while attempting to reaquascape it. Now the other cube stands alone,so I added the Archaea 27 watt 10K light fixture from AFA.

Thai now resides in The Finnex, which also has the same new light fixture.

Oh no - sorry to hear you broke one of the cubes!

How long have you been running with these fixtures? Do you think you'll end up needing CO2 with them?

Thanks Giag & Laura. Yes it is a shame, Laura. I was thinking of asking the man who made them if he could make another. I have been running the new lights about a week or so. I don't think I will need pressurized CO2, time will tell. These two tanks had a similar amount of light before. Less, pink in this set up. More towards the yellow spectrum.
