To get the ball rolling on Aquascaping Showcases, in our March 2008 Issue of ASW Magazine, we interviewed Antonio Nikolic and featured his nano planted aquarium aquascape. To me it looks bigger than 15 liters (4 gallons). Congratulations Antonio!

I'm curious, how many Celestichthys margaritatus are in there? Beautiful fish, and tank!

Thanks! There were about 18-20 of them. This past weekend I took them out, as they can't swim in there anymore :amillanbliss:
The tank is completly overgrown at this moment. I will rescape it soon.

    Regards,
    Antonio

Antonio, Beautiful tank with excellent trimming technique. You have created a wonderful scape that as John said, It looks a lot bigger than a 4 gallon. To me that's a key when scaping small tanks. Very well done.

Very nice! looks just like one of Amano's tanks! you trimmed it perfectly, as Roy said, and I further agree that the tank looks bigger than 4 gallons!

    Great work!

Wow thats quite a few for a 15l tank! Thats good though... I want to get a small group for my own tank but wasn't sure if it would be too much, but then I've now seen a 3g with 10 tetras and your 4g... so 12 small fish shouldn't be an issue in my 5.5g :tea:

    That's superb!

Great sense of scale and the title is very appropriate... ;)

    Well done indeed, Antonio.

Thanks all! It's nice to receive a positive criticism from skilled aquascapers. :yo:
I want to share some of the last pictures of this jungle before rescape.

How did you make that mini ADA stand? I flipped out when I saw those two photos. I thought that light looked kinda big compared to the stand B-) . Great idea!!!

I guess that was a question for another thread , but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Did you get any spawns from your Celestichthys margaritatus ? I'd imagine with that ground cover some eggs would survive?
The only fish I ever bred was a zebra danio. It was on accident when I removed them from a qt. tank :p .

    Thanks!
Yes, I saw fry a few times, but most of them didn't survive. Nurturing them inside this tank was impossible as they can't find their meal.:ehhh:
