Should be fine. Even if it's not, I'll be flushing it out lots and lots after the UG is established. I'll do water testing before adding any fishes.

As always play on the safe side I would use half strength?

Do you know how long it will take to get the UG established?

Looks like you are about to find out.

    Keep us updated.

Could you put a small piece in a glass (keep it in the tank) that way you could see any growth as it gets established?

Hi Ashley, Rhizotonic (y) That's the stuff I use a friend from the Netherlands sent me some works a treat a few drips in 250ml of water and spray everyday. I now use it on Wabi-Kusa works wonders.

Test the reactor first I have the same or very similar one It has a rubber seal at the bottom. It leaked and you will need to place clips around the in out pipes so they do not slip off.

My friend adds Rhizotonic to his tank water and getting good results (y) I will ask how much he add and let you know :)

Many years ago I set up a small cold water marine rock pool tank and the BB$#Y*& students would throw copper coins into the tank for fun.

Beach only a few minutes away always plenty of stock and water.

@keithgh Do you happen to have photos of your small cold water marine rock pool tank?
