My nano tank

    Hello people my name is nuno, this is my firts time and post in this forum, i´m here to show you one of my tanks.
    i´ve been visiting the forum for same time congratulacions for the forum.

    this tank is only plants because i think is to small. Later i´ll post the setup of the tank.

    IMO some dwarf shrims would be the perfect fauna for it;)

    tanks for the comments.
    Jur4iK i had shrims in this tank, red cherrys but an acident with fermentacion Co2 they died, now i´m afraid to put some again:-s.
    now the setup
    Tank: 35x20x20 +- 14L
    Substrate: akadama
    hardscape: black stones
    filter: Eihem liberty 100
    heater: fluval 25W
    lighting: economic lamp 6500K 24Watts
    Co2: Fermentacion
    plants: Hygrophila polysperma, blixia japonica, rotala rotundifulia, Eleocharis parvula, Hemianthus micranthemoides, Vallisneria nana.

    I suppose you overdosed this liquid carbon thing .. try to dose less and test it with on or two shrimps then ..

    fermentation CO2? are you talking about DIY CO2 using yeast? What kind of accident?

    yes it was with the yeast Co2, the acident wasn´t with gas, some how the liquid entered the tank, i suppose that the level of the mixture was to high.
    now i´m a litle afraid:sad:

    so I guess you do not have bubble counter in between. Though you can't control the number of bubble, bubble counter can prevent the accident that you experiencing.

    yes i don´t have, i never thought the liquid would enter the tank.

    his problem was that the "mixture" entered the tank

    There is a trick with DIY co2 to prevent the mixture entering the tank:

    doesnt matter how many bottles you have, just put one empty bottle between your mixture bottles and the tank and all the mixture will be cought in this bottle, if the bad case comes again

    tanks for the coment the rocks are my favorite part to.

    yes so the water inside the bubble counter will trap those mixture. Without the water the spray mixture my enter the outlet and contaminate the tank water. But I guess you can also preventing by putting the inlet and outlet further apart.

    if there is enough pressure and a lot mixture comes into the bubble counter - it wont stop it, or am I false?

    Probably not because then the bubble counter become full :p
