Hi All, My Friend brought a tank 10"x 8"x 8" ish :D But they did not like the stones and the plastic plant that came with the tank :ROFLMAO: I don't blame them :LOL:
They have seen my Aquascape's at home:) And asked if i would set it up for them :D Yes
So had a coffee and found out my friend liked the little slate one i did on a tin lid :giggle:
So set there tank up with a little slate scape they did not want anything to big ;) So i kept it all "KIS"
with some simple planting Of-- Java fern-- Crypt pava and some moss with a touch of HC Cuba. We will see how the HC go's :giggle:
When the tank cycles in about 6 weeks "Have seeded there filter with some sponge from my filter" plus the have bottled bacteria "I Forgot the name "
They want some Endler guppy,s 5 or 7 and a couple of shrimp :) Lets hope all go's well :) Will be adding backing to the tank they like light blue so light blue it will be. Some pics 00.JPG 01.JPG 02.JPG 03.JPG 04.JPG

    "Ho they like it":D

I'd like to have some friends to ask me to do the scape for there aquarium haha :p

Like to see your work by the way :) :-p

That is a very good example of what a KIS can do.

C Parva no matter what I do I cannot grow it I might give it a go when I set up the 750 Jebo some time next year.

If there is no cover over the filter inlet something will have to be found.

Endlers get males only if not there will be problems in that small tank "Over population"

I was gob smacked to be asked  But i jumped at the chance to set up there tank :) They were shocked it only took an hour with coffee brakes:coffee: To set it all up with lights and filter ;) But they like it that's the main thing
Glad you like my work :)

Hi Keith, Well you taught me KIS and it works every time :D
Crypt pava I am ok with this plant it grows well for me:rolleyes: As we have said before funny things plants so do well others do not ???
The filter is ok it has a plastic mesh with small holes so will be safe for fish & shrimp ;)
Don't worry i have already told them to get male endlers only:) They said no problem you will be there when we buy them so we don't get it wrong

What conditions do you give the parva? Curious since I added that to my tank, and I have not found very much info from ppl that have done well with it. Still too early to tell if the parva likes me or not, but I would be interested to hear if you're doing anything it particularly likes. :)

Hi EChord, Well we have water as hard as nails in London Plus i never clean round the roots of any crypts They use the "mulm As a extra food source Ho i use root tabs every 2-3 months i push them right under the roots. That's it they just grow for me

Crypt Parva are not only the smallest Crypt but the hardest to grow BUT if it grows well for you what ever you are doing don't change a thing.

I also use Seachem Fert tabs once every three months first week of a new season that way I never forget.

You should never clean/deep vac close to their bases as the mulm is their natural food.

I will try again when I set up the Jebo some time next year.

Hi All, Update on this little one. My friends brought 3 Amano Shrimp Today :D Well its been nearly 4 weeks and they have done water changes twice a week and added filter bacteria plus i used some of my filter medium to kick start the tank (y)
They have a little algae but nothing that cannot be kept under control plus the shrimp will munch on it. Ho they still have to get the backing for the tank ;)
    Some photos

Roy I selected this photo all I did was lighten it up a very little.

As soon as I saw that tank it reminded me not that far back I saw a TV show of old slate mines in the UK especially around the scrap heaps.

Another tank that looks so natural algae and all.
