Hi everyone, this is an aquascape I set up last August in my school's biology room. I'm in the process of tearing it down now as summer break is here, but here are a couple good photos:

To be perfectly honest I have never seen such a beautiful tank in a school room. From a retired teacher of 26 years.

You joined ASW 5 years ago what have you been doing, do you have tanks at home?

That aquascape just did not happen you certainly have a flare for Aquascaping.

    Thank you so much, really!

I had this fish-only aquarium since 2008 that I was messing around with (which meant unintentional fish-torturing), and after finding a book on planted aquariums I wanted to give it a try. Shout out to my parents here for letting a 9-year-old kid do something like this. After a terrible first failure, I started browsing online forums and did as much research as I could. It was only until 2012 that I tried it one more time, which also happened to be when I joined this forum. I did two other scapes with the exact same tank before this one. You can check out my Flickr's aquscaping album that I included in my signature to see my progression :).

Fun Fact - If you look at the very bottom in that Flickr album at my fish-only tank with white gravel, that Anubias on the lava rock is the EXACT same one that I used in all my aquascapes, including this one. Truly, truly an old friend (y).

Thanks again! Hopefully I could do something like this in college too.....

For some one your age you are a wonderful Aquascaper. As far as I know if you have a tank in your room at College it is usually a very small tank.

Keep us updated when you start College and get a tank up and running.

I agree with Keith; it's a great tank to have in a biology classroom. It evokes the spirit of nature beautifully and I'm sure it's proven very inspiring.

When I was a teacher at a local Technical school I set up a cold water marine tank for the Science Dept stocking & water was not a problem as I live in a Coastal and the school was less than 2klm from the beach. Sorry no photos.
