This was to be my first big Terrascape, I started planning over a year ago and actual working commenced Dec 2014.

The aim was to create a Terrascape as close to nature as I could with what I had, could buy or, could make.

If there are "Rules" that must be obeyed I have broken them.

I have just finished it and I am very happy with what I have done.

I have to take a looking down photograph as the main feature cannot be seen when taking a front on photo.

It was not planned or made using the so called "Normal" aquascaping rules, I had been collecting the DW plus all the old DW I had and naturally I had to work with that.

I had plenty of River stones as I only wanted smaller rocks.

Some of DW had to be cut to get the actual shape and size required

A few plants were extremely hard to find in Aust a few suppliers would not post or the cost was ridiculous, in the end a supplier was found and it was the standard local postage.

The majority of the plants were bought at the local Hardware and Garden store at a very reasonable cost.

Looks superb Keith. Is it just to be a garden or is to have some critters of some sort in it?

Its purely a garden, later in the year I will be thinking of adding a few garden worms to aerate the soil.

This is one scape I think I threw every rule out of the window.

I tried to not make it pure central or equal both ends its one of those scapes that developed as I went along now its up to nature to see what happens.

The aim was to create a well balanced and pleasant to the eye Terrascape using plants only.

The pathway/dry creek bed runs the full length of the tank up against the backing.

I had a little problem with watering the bush moss and backing plants the soil became too wet and I lost a few of the Red Fittonia at the front of the tank.

The soil has not dried out as quick as I would have liked, this means I will have to remove a small area of soil replace it with fresh garden soil then add the new Red Fittonia plants which I have.

When they settle in I will post a few photos.

No worms added yet I have not seen many in the garden.

I have seen a few garden worm lately I am keeping an eye for the small younger ones but not many around for some reason.

As soon as I put them in I will add a reply.

Looks like I might have to put a pile of Moo Poo and cover it over and bring them to the surface this way.
