    Hi guys :welcome:

Here's my tank journal and looking forward to learning from you guys :bling:

Bought this 30x30x30cm glass tank at a LFS for US$10 :D

Planning to have a 'stream' running through the tank... hence the cardboard dividers.

Filled the tank with Gex (Japanese brand) fine black soil...

With Gex fine white decorative sand to create the 'stream' :)

    That's a great find for only $10

That looks like its going to be a chore to keep the white sand clean, but I guess that depends on the plants.

What kind of plant are you planning on?

When are you putting your plants in there? Which i could find a tank like that for only 10 bucks.

Tomorrow morning... actually I am getting what I paid for... the tank was quite badly put together with silicone marks everywhere... I had a hard time cleaning the tank :(

Looking forward to seeing this one planted. Are you planning on any hardscape?

This is how the initial scaping looks like... not too happy as the background seems too empty... changed 50% water.

The 2 Yamato Shrimps added 2 days ago created havoc to my fine sand bed :( Will avoid such fine sand in future setups.

Thanks! Actually I am still learning... experimenting with almost everything :%3

Here's a better look at the moss covered branches... I believe it's Mini Java Moss.

Another look at the stream... it's so difficult to maintain white sand :muscle:

Beautiful job! The slight mixing of the black and white sand doesn't detract from it at all. If you avoid such fine sand in the future, what would you use instead?
