    Mr. Aqua 11.4G Riparium

I have a new project in the works! Thanks so much to John N. for setting up this new riparium-dedicated forum!

I have already had several different layouts in this tank. It is the regular Mr. 11.4-gallon.

I'm testing out some new riparium plants with this one. It will be a pretty simple setup with a single PAR 38 LED and a submersible filter.

I'll get more pictures when I start adding plants.

I think I can see the very rare Tropical Mystery plant, its still a mystery how it camouflages its self to its surroundings.

I put some plants in this tank. I'm still trying to decide exactly how to scape it. I might work on it some more tomorrow.

I have the plants in there, but I have mainly just been growing the plants and I haven't tried to scape it or add fish yet.

The plants look good. Maybe this week I will try to get it going some more.

i couldn't find a pm message but could you pls send me the original picture of your riparium setup with peace lilies in your very informative article about ''how to make a riparium''. As of right now i actually trimmed my huge money plant and stuck it in an old 10g tank half filled and let the stalk sit in the water. it is not as pretty since i dont have much head room nor do i ahve those cool magnetic cups but i'll cut up some old acrylic and make some DIY CUPS. a couple of aquestions though.
    1. will the leaves rot if they sit in the water?
    2. you did not mention a heater? if so for the fish at least, is there a max temp for the plants roots? a max for me would be 32-25 Cº in summer months in spain, the air can get really hot here due to the hot rising from africa. but it would be normally kept at 25-27 Cº for the fish, guppies.
    3. I didnt quite understand your potting explanation of the peace lily. can the roots grow into the water? and can the bottom of the stems stay in water?
    4. you mentioned aeration as something important. do they need a long airstone right below the roots?
thanks a lot and hoping to hear from you soon
