Thank you yes its been a long time coming and a lot of changes have happened along the way.
KIS if only, why hurry over two years in the making now.

I wanted to work on it today but other jobs had to be done.

In a few days time I will start looking for plants and preparing all the hard scape.

Thank you I have spent a long time planning this and its a long way from the KIS method.

Its double check and recheck it again and again until its perfect.

The wife is right behind me in this one.

Looking but not buying plants yet.

Today I took several photos of all the bits and pieces I have rocks and driftwood etc.

Salvador Dalí may have said: “Have no fear of perfection - you'll never reach it.”
So don't forget to live and sleep while planning terrascape ;)

I fully agree but with a lot of effort you can achieve something very close to perfection.

This is what I have always tried to work to.

Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do.

    Keith: Many years ago.

This is only a temporary holding to see how it looked.

The corners were a bit difficult I had to shape the side pieces so that there were no gaps; it was a simple file and glass paper job until it fitted.

    Information on design ideas

Here are the designs I am looking at in no particular order.

I can get these plants locally at the local Hardware/Garden store

It's not the cost or challenge it's just picking the correct one and work towards it.

    Keith,

Is perfection the same outcome for everyone? I would have thought that, when it comes to our hobby, perfection is like beauty - in the eye of the beholder

    Cheers

I have several photos of very good tanks and I am sure I will be taking the best bits from several designs, and certainly nature.

This is where I am now

These are the main pieces of driftwood that I would like to use the Gold Vine is not being used.

I have plenty of small bits and pieces of driftwood.

Plenty of small pieces of Scoria rock (all the same colour) it's the natural light making some look darker.

One large piece of Scoria rock this has great possibilities but will it work ???
