Well - I've only ever purchased Amanos and RCS, so it would stand to reason that I would only have those two species. Any ideas where this guy would have come from?

Cool find! Caridina cf. babaulti spp. 'green' aka Green Shrimp.

Did you get any new plants? Maybe it came into your tank as a hitch hiker. Surprising enough I bought some java fern from a member, and a few weeks later I saw a baby fry swimming around in my shrimp only tank. It turned out to be a Rainbow. So the hitch hiker possibility exists if you recently introduced new plants. Great photo by the way.

yeah - lots of new plants here. A large order from bayleesfishees.com and some from in town... both LFS and other hobbyists.

As far as the photo - I think I'm FINALLY starting to figure out how to shoot through the glass. I typically do outdoors photography, so bringing my two hobbies otgether is really something special for me!

Definitively a Caridina cf. babaulti but not sure it is the green one.
