If you are interested in Low-fi photography, you should look at eBay for a Holga camera.

I could not be bothered with developing film and carrying another device, the iphone has it all in a single item, so for me the results are perfect. :)

I know that some purists will "kill" me, but aren't these photos very similar if not better, to what a holga would do?

Better is obviously not the best world to define Holga and Lomography look at the Wikipedia articles : Holga - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Lomography - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It's low-fi, Holga takes "ugly" pictures compared to any other "good" camera. But vignetting, blur & light leaks become a kind of photography lifestyle and make Holga a best seller.

Your Hipstamatic app just reproduce the poor performance of lomo cameras.

:) yep, and I love it for it. :) It reminds me the photos of long ago, before digital came out, and even when we couldn't afford slr's.

For me is just the bother of having to carry another device and developing film that makes the Hipstamatic app so perfect, for me that is.

For some people the beauty is also on the camera, developing the film and seeing what came out. :)

Took these pics today, looks how amazing it came out:

If I had a true lomo camera it would have taken ages to get these photos online. :)

It isn't free, good things seldom are, but it is not expensive. Even if you buy all the cameras, lenses and films you will spend no more than £5.

    The basic app costs £1.50.

I have a lomo lc-a camera before but unfortunately lost it when I was traveling abroad. I really like this type of camera and they can be a fashion accessory more than just capturing pictures.

i like that you can use it at any time of the day and still produce excellent results. I could vouch that it has been a part of my life and not an interference.
