    Hi friends:

Recently I have come here to this community and have registered. I'm Isaac and I come from an spanish aquaristic community called Acuavida. And now I have requested the moderators to put here this new. We are organizing an international contest about aquascaping. More than 10 countries are going to participate on this contest and it's open for anyone who wants to join it.

Here you can see the rules in english. The inscription is completely free and for any doubt I am here to answer. Thanks to moderator-administrator team to allow me to explain that. Here you go the link to te contest:

We hope you like it and to see many of your works!

Great to see so many international competitions from all around the world. These sort of things brings the whole aquascaping community closer and helps more and more people to get into the hobby

You're right Pjerrot, aquascapipng benefits from these contests in each country that organizes one...
...on the other hand, don't all these contests risk to share the same contestants... and the same winners (like we tend to see fot ADA/AGA contests lately) ?

    Mellonman,
I dont think so, ofcourse there might be some contest-maniacs, but sirious scapers will only take part in the most import important contests and maybe in the one organized in their home coutry.

That because AGA does not limit to unpublished or unreleased work. In my opinion they should do that, otherwise you will keep seeing same scape become a winner again.

    You're right Shadow...
... on the other hand ;) if AGA did not allow already published work, don't you think they would only get "second class" scapes, all talented aquascapers keeping their best work (or their only work) for ADA contest ? This would definitely make AGA contest less pleasant to watch...

No, it's not... but it's more "glamourous" to have the best scapes, even if they have already been seen... the AGA contest would lose a part of its prestige without those scapes.
    I'm not saying they're right, I'm saying I understand them ;)

I've other opinion... if I entry IAPLC (ADA contest), I already know that I had only a tiny sparky chance of wining, because all big fish are in that contest...
In other hand... in AGA contest for exemple, I had much more chances to winning because much of the big fishes don't entry that contest...

So, for what contest do you think I'll entry?

....and to all participants ! It is great to see so many wonderful aquascapes.
I believe there are many people behind the scene who worked hard for this contest and I need to say a big bravo to them !!
It is the 1st time I took part into an aquascaping contest and I got the 6th position in the large category and the 10th in the world ranking. It was beyond my expectations ,so I am very-very happy :celebrate:
Will be there next year too.
