Apologies to #130. It was my misunderstanding from what I can see.

    Dear aquadream,
I'd like to remember you that you are not allowed to say anything false about my aquascape.

If you don't believe me, look here the evolution
    Aquaexperience.it • Leggi argomento - Pascoli erbosi

I know perhaps what confused you, envying somebody can often create seight defects.

This is my first presence in IAPLC, I'm very happy for the result, please do not damage my satisfaction. I have no problem to say that I like your aquascape and perhaps you deserve a better position.

If you come in Italy, I will be happy to show you my aquascape and drink a beer together.

    Bye

Unless I mistaken, all the background rocks are accounted for from the initial stage of the tank, not Photoshop.

Please next time provide prove to any accusation.

My apologies. The picture for some reason is giving the distinct impression of retouch on the beckground. That is why it seem to me as photoshop work. My mistake.

Great to see this has cleared up.

Somehow this just shows the intense passion scapers have for this hobby!
Going to look for a beer now!

I was reading time and time again the conditions for participation in IAPLC 2011 and it was clear to me that they accept only unpublished works.
Apparently I was the very person who made this International Balkan Aquascaping Contest IBAC such by inviting George Farmer and Oliver Knott for judges in the first edition. I also sugested the name for this contest.
In regard of ADA conditions of entry for IAPLC I did not submit my #280 to the first edition of IBAC. So as organiser of IBAC I have respected the conditions of IAPLC and did not participate with my scape there only to find out that the coleagues from Turkey are in the first positions despite the rules of IAPLC. THAT IS VERY NICE, IS IT NOT?
I really do not know what to say about this, but for sure if those aquascapes turn out to be the same which were submitted to IBAC I will scream as loud as possible.

I would like to ask all not to spoil the reason for this thread, and to advise that if the judges on the IAPLC competition deemed good to place the scapes that are apparently a copy of previous work higher than others, it is their prerogative to do so.

Without wanting to sound blunt or unfriendly, if you do not like the position that your scape has achieved this year, maybe next year try harder or contact the IAPLC organization directly and let them know what is going on.

Again, the thread is to showcase aquascapes that have entered the IAPLC, not to start hassling others for the position they have achieved.

A little disappointed that USA couldn't do better than 327 out of 42 Entries. Hobby still has long way to go here. UK only 14 entries and had a Top 100 and another one I believe in the 200s. I was very surprised George Farmer's Minimalist Iwagumi was 409. I thought that was a very original peace of work and masterfully executed.

Yeah, the UK only had 14 entries, and although we had one on the top 100, and great aquascapers like James and George, that is still only 14 entries.

I do not know how can that be, as the UK is a land of pet lovers, many people have fish tanks at home.

We have the Aquatics Live soon in London, and I believe that this will push to the fore aquascaping, as UKAPS is going to have a stand on the show.

I believe that next year we (the UK) will take the competition by storm, like Brasil has done it this year! :D
