(I think I don't have a thread for this tank. It was heavy testing and didn't felt like advertising it :) As it's half success, here's a funny shot)

    Thanks guys!
In fact, I like cold weather since it's sunny. I don't really like when it's over 25°C :p
Now, I'm waiting for snow and ice on the baby's tears :D Although I'm quite nervous about the tank to get frozen... It didn't last year so this should be OK... But I'll keep an eye on it every day :p

Last winter, it only froze on a small part of it. So it should be ok.

Cut up a big Styrene thick box and tape it all around the tank at least that will stop the cold getting through the sides of the tank.

My 5ft tank is 3ins from a double brick outside wall and in the winter its very cold, I have the 3ins gap packed with thick insulation material and it works, plus its not seen.

The thing is... I don't have spare room for it! It's already 1/2cm from the wall and grid. And about 1cm from the window glass. I bought it because it just fit ; no more, no less ;-(

Here's my "Betta Bowl" just rebuild after a massive Vallisneria invasion. Now there's room for the fish to swim and things to watch until it grows again.

He should be happy in that tank.

The Betta like a bit of top cover as well.

Am I correct in saying his fins look rather tattered?

Yeah, he should. Bubbles he made say so ;-) Those fins are as they've always been. He's a bit of "half-moon" and a bit of "crown tail". In that particular shot, he just had a bit of "mirror boxing". That might explain the weird look of the fins :)

The cover plants will... cover soon :) I only left a few so that underwater plants can get full light for a start.

The 18L tank that have loads of plants extracted from others. It will become a Riparium soon. Until then, plants just grow and grow and emerge and grow... :)
