So, was at home depot the other day and found this...
Now, I've seen some aquarium supply manufacturers (Oliver Knott, ADA, etc) make similar stuff for those looking for that "photo" ready, hazy/cloudy background look for there setup.
Anyone try this? Or has anyone tried the ones made by aquarium manufacturers and have something to say?
It could be ok depending on the scape. You may take away some of your ability to back-light in photos however.

Well... Decided to put it on... There's no residue. It's just a wet applied film, like a smart phone screen protector.... If it looks bad, I'll pull it off... We'll see once its all setup and running.

This is what it looks like now...

like it a lot, since my last was an ADA 60P mist type and I liked it a lot all future tanks will be the same :) adds a really nice sense of depth and makes nice effect when backlit.

there's a uk scaper on here who used it recently and I've used it in the past, as Jet says, it's largely down to the scape I loved the stuff when I used it though.

This is good stuff I am on the fence about weather or not to add it to my tank. I ideally thought it would be great because the placement of my tank is in a bay window with a lot of sun and natural light coming in the back side and I wanted to diffuse the light and minimize the amount of potential glass algae it would collect. Looks nice how you've done it. I am thinking more about picking some up to have on hand just in case. I too was looking at Home Depot as well. Glad you were able to find it there, I am sure at a fraction of the cost of the ADA or Oliver Knottt brands.

There was one type there (it had DISCONTINUED written on the sample, so...) it was called "clouds". It was a nice blue with wispy white scattered across.

I thought of some of those aquascapes that have that cloud-esque backgrounds in their contest entry pics.

Anyway, I'm happy with how it looks so far, but I guess I'll really know once its all planted and done.
