Hardscape or plants - whats most important to you?

Whats most important when you make a scape; plants or hardscape

    The plants are the most important factor in the ens result, poor plants = poor scenery.
    Having said that in the initial setup phase I think most aquascapers would concentrate on the hardscape and getting that right with the idea of what plants will go where and compliment the hardscape, so for me its both :)

    Both are important... and both can be equally important.
    You can do a bad hardscape and fix it with plants, or you can have a great scape but if plants doesn't grow acording to the plan, it can't get to a good leavel.

    for me the hardscape is like the fondations of a house;the base.
    you can have the most beautifull plant of the world but if your scape look like nothing you just do a fish tank whit nice plants.
    this is not the goal we fixed. the scape "guide" the eye inside the tank and show the beauty of the plants.(really sorry for my english, i'm at my work and i don't have my dictionnary).
