I added this long grass yesterday behind the main rock (this is side view). Can anyone help ID? I got a feeling these are non-aquatic common grass

But the green is very nice... especially put against my Blyxa japonica.

    Could be B. Aubertii?

Thanks for the ID... it does look like Blyxa aubertii

Here's a top down view next to my Blyxa japonica... I really like the fresh green colour :)

Added a single stalk of Eriocaulon cinereum today. It looks beautiful and hopefully it will grow well in my tank :)

Finally came up with a solution for the tank cover.

A combination of 2mm thick acrylic towards the front and white plastic net towards the back.

The plastic net will allow the fan to cool the water while the crystal clear acrylic will not compromise the lighting.

I am very happy today :)

Here's a front tank shot... with newly added Pogostemon helferi (Downoi) from Tropika :)

Since it is a sensitive plant... I was told to float the plants (inside a betta box) in the tank for a day or two before planting. And I also made sure that the stem (underneath the leaves) doesn't touch the soil.

    What do you guys think?

Are you able to buy these plants at local petshops?

Instead of plastic net you can use egg crate do the same thing but egg crate is hard.

Yeah it's just that this particular LFS (Far East Aquatic) carries plants from Tropica. As long as they are healthy and good... not too bother by the slight premium.

Love how the rock looks now without the DW. I like that Eriocaulon cinereum plant let me know how it goes with it.

Thanks! I still can't get a definite ID for the red stem plant :(

I actually got this tiny branch for free from a LFS... I scavenged the entire pile of Indo DW in order to find this  I think tiny branches like this will make a tank look bigger if complemented with the right rocks and plants :)

A bit discouraged by a few brown tips (about 1 to 2mm at tips) :( Perhaps it is trying to adjust itself... hopefully it will not 'melt-on-me' :-s
