Thanks for the ID Kookaburra... emm... mine is not as red
Your plant looks something like a rotala macranda species.
Emm... looks pretty close too... now I am really confused by the 2 IDs :29:
this plant needs a lot of Light and a lot of Nutrients. And even in these conditions, it is hard to make it "go red" and she does not grow very quickly
A very difficult plant, I try it in my tank, but I never succeed ... :-?
thtas true, I think that the very red ones is emersed setup
Oh dear... what have I done :29:
Added 5 Yamato (Amano) shrimps and a couple of Sakura shrimps today... can see that they are really excited by what seems like never-ending food source :muscle:
I am particularly pleased with the runners and root systems development of my Japanese HG
Got more runners than my Hairgrass. I have had mine planted for about 4 weeks and no good signs like yours.
You can say "Thanks" to Aquasoil ... It's a fantastic soil for that :hail:
Well it's kinda expected dun u think? Layers and layers of good stuff :-s
Looks like a great start. Im setting up a 30-c shortly as well, nice to find some inspiration!
Is that a ghost shrimp the clear one?
It's an Amano (Yamato) if I'm not mistaken
Actually... it's not that great... still fighting with algae Boxing
Preparing for the introduction of fish...
Luckily I can still find my old acrylic cutter [-o<
After reading some interesting facts about Endler's Livebearers... bought 5 specimens to beautify my tank. Surprisingly they love my hair algae :amillanbliss:
Love the pattern on that one in the middle. They look good.
That's Tigertail var. I believe... will get another 5 tomorrow
Cool post a pic of the new ones when u get them.
