I like to play around with photography a little, getting ready to start a class next week so hopefully things will improve...these are all RCS that are in my tank.

Excellent images. Can you tell me what type of camera you are using? I'm looking to step up to a DSLR. Since they are a bit expensive, I am trying to find a good "Bang for your buck" camera. Can't wait to see more images after you start class.

    Thanks!

I am using a Nikon D300 and the lens used for these shots was a Tamron 90mm Macro.

IMO, the best bang for the buck camera is going to be something used. You can get an even better deal if you are willing to buy something that isn't the latest and greatest. I mean a camera from a couple years ago will still be an absolutely fantastic camera but it might not have all the advances in camera technology as a current model will. But honestly I don't think that in anyway will hold someone back from taking great shots. In fact, my D300 is a good example of that. It's a super camera but it's not the newest out there nor is it the best. I got it used and paid less than half what the guy I got it from paid new. So whether you go Canon, Nikon, Sony, Pentex, whatever, I'd look at the used market.
