    Hi,

I removed the bottom black trim from a new tank and I realized that I maybe kill that tank. Here's a picture to judge on what happen. Please tell me if I need to buy a new one or the tank will resist the water pressure. The broken glass is actually covered by silicone from the inside and does not leak.

Hard to tell but I would say not worth the risk.

how big is the tank. If small tank say 2ft and below, use silicon glue generously to cover both inside and outside. Above 2ft, better buy new tank.

Curious, why was the black trim take off ? I just bought a 30 gallon long and it was missing the top and bottom black trim. I was wondering if I could still use it?

Depends on the brand, some of them, Juwel for example, will void the warranty if you remove the trim, others are purely decorative to hide the water line and the bracing, some brands silicon it on, others are just pushed on. Depends entirely on the tank.
