Very rare over here too. I nabbed a few from my LFS awhile ago. Haven't seen them sold since. They stay pretty small and are as good as your standard otocinclus at eating algae (brown algae, diatoms, and debris). Definitely a cool looking fish.

i have 1 Luis, i went to get a shoal earlier in the year and they had 4 of the normal ones left and 1 black. So i took them all. I lost 2 of the normal ones and the black went from strength to strength.

They are quite good with algae, and some of mine are really fat now. almost 1cm wide. :) No losses yet, still got the 9 swimming on the flow.

ADC mate, there is where I got mine. :)

They usually got amazing fish, but label them wrongly, so it pays to go there with time and check what they actually have on the tanks.

Yes, I am a new convert to ADC. I will make a trip of it once my co2 system arrives and I've got everything set up. Will give everything a couple of days to settle before putting fish in.

you have to cycle the tank properly before you introduce the fish, specially if you use aquasoil
